The Ethics of the Pros and Cons of Plastic Surgery in Our World

Over 333,000 people 18 years and younger had plastic surgery in 2005. With this statistic, many teens are using plastic surgery just to fit in with the crowd or they just use it in order to stand out. Plastic surgery at such a young age may result in serious health issues in the future and may cause an addition for plastic surgery. In our world, plastic surgery is an important issue in today’s society, especially for young for young people who may not use it appropriately. The decision for plastic surgery is usually used for two thinks like health reasons or to just look the best you can which can take your body over.
Many people today are using plastic surgery when it’s not needed and this could allow them to get injured because there are many risks of plastic surgery. Most people in the United States view the use of plastic surgery in many perspectives. Some people see it has people who are spoiled, wasteful, and contain no self-confidence with in their body. Others may see plastic surgery as a serious issue meaning it is foe health conditions. So yes, there are many views on plastic surgery in our world and its not just a joke. It is a serious risk in our society and the procedure of plastic surgery can allow the stretching of the skin, eternal bleeding, the malfunction of limbs, diabetes, low self-esteem, and many more. These reasons are usually the reasons that lead into the use of plastic surgery just for looks. Most teens use plastic surgery for the wrong reasons. Young teens feel they need it only to impress someone rather than if they actually need it. For example young celebrity teens usually feel very self conscious and feel that physically changing their look will solve their problems. They don’t often think before their actions and the work done on them sometimes won’t turn out the way that they wanted it to, says Judy Peres. Celebrity teens use plastic surgery as a depressant thinking that it will make them feel better and they don’t even realize that this can be an issue. This can result into an addiction for people thinking that their body needs to be perfect when really nothing can be perfect. This only causes them to judge their body more often.
Not only is plastic surgery always bad and creates a perspective on someone. It also is used for the right reasons. Plastic surgery is often done for the right reasons and can be done properly. The use of Plastic surgery doesn’t just mean that plastic is always done in the procedure, says Natalie Kita. There are many useful and different techniques that can be done when dealing with plastic surgery. An example of a technique used without using plastic is lasers for clearing or getting away birthmarks. Many people are born with physical issues that can affect their life so plastic surgery is often recommended to certain people. Also, plastic surgery doesn’t just change the appearance or look of people, but it also can help a person’s ability to function, says Judy Peres.

The Glass Castle post 5

Jeannette’s dad loses his job at the Gypsum mine after getting into an argument with the foreman. This caused Jeannette and her family to loose all of their money. Jeannette then started to go to school and she said it wasn’t too bad. But kids gave her weird looks all the time. One day after Jeannette was done with school four Mexican girls followed her home and jumped her in an ally way. Jeannette was beaten up pretty bad and when Jeannette got home her dad was proud of her getting into I fight. I was shocked when I read that Jeannette’s dad encouraged her to fight, and while she was only in the first grade! The next day the same Mexican girls were in the ally way but this time Jeannette’s brother Brian was with her. But nothing changed and Brian was jumped also but the odd thing was that Jeannette picked up a pretty big rock and smashed it on one of the girls head. For me I could never do that and it showed that Jeannette doesn’t use her head that well because that could have killed the girl. I think that she takes this kind of stuff after her parents and that her parents don’t usually tell their kids what is right and what is wrong.

The Glass Castle

In The Glass Castle the next chapter that I read started out with Jeannette telling the Readers that her mom and dad didn’t let her believe in Santa Claus. I find that really strange because the kids are so young and at that age your imagination is so much fun to have and Santa Claus is what pumps you up for the holidays. Jeannette’s mom and dads excuse for this weird reason was because they couldn’t afford expensive presents, and they didn’t want their kids to think that they weren’t as good as other kids, who on Christmas, found all sorts of fancy and expensive presents under their tree. So Jeannette’s parents spoiled the tale of Santa Claus and told them that everything wasn’t real. They told Jeannette that the so called Elves didn’t actually make or create the toys and told them that on all of the toys stood a label saying, “made in Japan”. This shows that Jeannette’s parents are very overprotective of their kids and that they want them to make them feel as good as they can when they really don’t. Jeannette’s parents seem very odd to me and I am concerned that later on in the book something really strange will happen to Jeannette because of her parents foolish actions.

The Glass Castle post 3

The next couple chapters that I read from the Glass Castle, Jeannette’s dad Whole up the whole family in the middle of the night and randomly told them to get all of their staff because they’re leaving. The weird thing is that he won’t tell them why they’re leaving or where they’re going. The more I read the weirder the dad gets and he seems like he has problems of some sort. So hopefully I find out what is wrong with him. So then Jeannette’s family randomly stops the car in a desert. Jeannette’s dad then starts to tell them that they were eventually going to be rich once they reached the exciting place. In the next chapter Jeannette over hears her parents talking about how people are after them. But Jeannette didn’t find out whom. Jeannette’s family kept traveling into tiny dusty mining towns and Jeannette’s dad eventually got jobs like electricians or and engineer in a gypsum or copper mine. It seemed like the more desolated and isolated the place that they lived in was, the more Jeannette’s mom and dad like it. So far I really like this book and I am very excited to read more because as I get farther into the book, the more interesting it gets and it seems like there is never a dull or boring part. The book just keeps pulling me in to read more.
